Tommaso Russo, MD
I joined the Lagier-Tourenne lab as a Research Fellow Trainee in September 2022. I come from Italy, where I graduated in Medicine in 2018 (at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome), and I am currently a resident doctor in Neurology (at San Raffaele Hospital in Milan). My main interest is to understand the molecular processes that drive amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, and during my training I will work with the lab team to learn how to use the most advanced techniques in this research field. I plan to start a PhD project on ALS when I return to Italy. I am a soccer fan (and decent player), in my free time I like hiking, going to concerts and explaining to non-Italian people how to prepare a proper carbonara.
